To combat difficulty with --and disinterest in-- learning, I worked with students ages 11 to 17 years old to figure out what isn't working for them and what can be done to help. After months of research, I created a visual thinking method and four-component system, which was tested in a real middle school classroom and teacher-approved for improving engagement and critical thinking.
